From the Junior Williamson Rest Area in Slade, turn left onto KY 11. Continue 141 feet. Turn right onto the Bert T Combs Mountain Parkway E ramp to Prestonsburg/Campton. Continue for 9.7 miles. Take exit 43 toward KY-15/Campton/Hazard. Continue onto Mountain Parkway Spur for 0.9 miles. Turn left onto Drake Street. Continue one this road (will turn into Johnston Street, then Main Street) for 1.3 miles. Keep left to continue onto State Hwy 746. Continue for approx 1.9 miles. Turn left onto Calaboose Ridge Road. Continue for 0.8 miles. Turn left onto Chestnut Log Road. Be on the lookout for the green street sign. This will be a paved road that turns into gravel. Keep right to stay on Chestnut Log Road. (Continuing straight will lead you to a residential house.) Once you take the right continue for approx. 500 yards. Red River Barnhouse will be on your right. It is a gravel driveway that has two red reflective markers on each side of the driveway. There is limited signage - keep your eyes peeled!
